A hernia can severely restrict everyday life – but with the right technique, repair is safe and provides long-lasting results.

Inguinal hernias are repaired laparoscopically (TAPP/TEP). Abdominal wall and incisional hernias are repaired robotically using the DaVinci system.

The Procedure

Hernia Repair

Surgical repair of inguinal, abdominal wall, and incisional hernias. Inguinal hernias are operated using laparoscopic TAPP or TEP techniques. Larger abdominal wall and incisional hernias are repaired with robotic assistance (DaVinci), enabling more precise mesh placement and less postoperative pain.

Why This Procedure

Benefits of Hernia Surgery

01
Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic
Inguinal hernias are repaired laparoscopically through the smallest incisions. Less pain, faster recovery, minimal scarring.
02
Robotic-Assisted for Abdominal Wall Hernias
Abdominal wall and incisional hernias are repaired using the DaVinci system. More precise mesh placement and less postoperative pain.
03
Rapid Recovery
Short hospital stay and quick return to daily life thanks to minimally invasive techniques.

Results

Frequently Asked Questions

Well Informed for Your Consultation

How long does a hernia operation take?

Depending on the type of hernia, the procedure takes 45 to 90 minutes. Inguinal hernia operations are usually shorter, while abdominal wall and incisional hernias may take somewhat longer.

Why robotic surgery for incisional hernias?

The DaVinci system enables more precise movements and better visibility than conventional laparoscopy. The mesh can be placed more accurately, which reduces the risk of recurrence and leads to less postoperative pain.

How quickly can I return to work?

After a laparoscopic inguinal hernia operation, most patients can resume light activities after 1-2 weeks. Heavy physical work should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.
