SADI-S delivers the strongest metabolic effect of all bariatric procedures – especially when diabetes dominates your life.

A modern procedure that combines sleeve gastrectomy and bypass technique while being simpler in design than the classic BPD/DS.

The Procedure

Single Anastomosis Duodeno-Ileal Bypass with Sleeve (SADI-S)

SADI-S combines a sleeve gastrectomy with a bypass connection to the duodenum. Strongest metabolic effect of all bariatric procedures. Particularly effective for severe type 2 diabetes.

Why this procedure

Benefits of SADI-S

01
Maximum metabolic effect
SADI-S achieves the strongest metabolic effect of all bariatric procedures – especially for severe type 2 diabetes.
02
Combination of two procedures
SADI-S unites sleeve gastrectomy and bypass technique into a highly effective procedure with a simplified surgical design.
03
Especially for the highest BMI
Specifically developed for patients with the highest BMI, where other procedures are not sufficiently effective.

Results

What SADI-S achieves

Highest diabetes remission rate

SADI-S achieves the highest diabetes remission rates of all bariatric procedures – a decisive advantage for severe type 2 diabetes.

Significant weight loss

Maximum and sustained weight loss, particularly for patients with a very high BMI.

For patients where other procedures were not sufficiently effective

SADI-S is the ideal option as a revision procedure after sleeve gastrectomy or when other procedures have not achieved the desired results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Well informed for your consultation

What is the difference compared to other bypass procedures?

SADI-S combines a sleeve gastrectomy with a bypass connection to the duodenum. Unlike the Roux-en-Y, only one anastomosis is created, and the rerouting occurs further down in the small intestine. This results in a stronger metabolic effect with a simpler surgical design than the classic BPD/DS.

Who is SADI-S suitable for?

SADI-S is particularly suitable for patients with a BMI over 50, with severe type 2 diabetes, or as a revision procedure after sleeve gastrectomy when weight loss was insufficient.

What follow-up care is required?

After SADI-S, lifelong supplementation with vitamins and minerals is necessary. Regular blood tests and follow-up appointments are essential to detect and treat deficiencies early.
